Big Buck Hunter takes digital hunting to the next level in 2012 with the release of the first-ever, high-definition bar and arcade game, Big Buck HD.
Two years in the making, Big Buck HD is the first game of its kind designed with 1080p high definition graphics and new functionality that will change the video hunting experience. All Big Buck HD games will feature online connectivity, which will allow players to track scores through online accounts and compete in tournaments against players from across the country for cash prizes, making Big Buck HD a truly interactive experience.
Other features of the new game will include:
Enhanced Graphics: From grass blowing in the wind to life-like animals, Big Buck HD will feature a level of detail in the graphics not seen in a bar or arcade game before with the new two million-pixel 1080p HD monitor.
Combination of Big Buck Hunter Pro and Safari: Big Buck HD combines the best of Big Buck Hunter Pro and Big Buck Safari into one game. Big Buck HD will feature three North American animals and two African safari animals with software updates featuring new animals available periodically.
Dangerous Animal: New to the HD game is the Dangerous Animal, which is a special bonus animal that will randomly appear in scenes. The Dangerous Animal is new to the North American animal scenes and will replace the Trophy Animal in African safari scenes. Dangerous Animals will include ferocious creatures such as black bears, cheetahs or lions.
Online Integration: Online integration is one of Big Buck HD’s most prominent features. Players can create personal accounts while playing or by logging on to BigBuckHD.com, where they can also check scores, upload photos and more. Player accounts will feature a personalized homepage that tracks and records playing information, a friends list to compare scores and connect with other players from around the country, and a digital trophy case for personal achievements.
Showdown: The Showdown mode is a brand-new feature that is a unique evolution in online arcade gaming. It will allow players to play live against one another from anywhere in the country. The Showdown will allow two or more players to simultaneously play the same site in a round robin format. At the end, the game will rank each player’s score and the winning site will be replayed for all players to see. Players can either challenge friends from their friends list to a Showdown or locate competitors in a virtual Showdown waiting room.
Challenges & Achievements: The new Big Buck HD will automatically issue personalized challenges to players when they log in to their online accounts, such as target scores or number of bucks and critters to shoot. When a player completes a challenge, it will be recognized in the achievements section on the player’s profile page.
New Tournaments: The tournament system has been revamped for Big Buck HD, featuring new “Add-On” Tournaments with more opportunities for players to win cash prizes. These new “Add-On” Tournaments will run continuously with multiple tournaments open concurrently. When players choose any standard game play, they will have the option to enter their score in a tournament for an additional $1.00. Depending on the game selected the leaderboard will range from 10-30 places. Once a tournament leaderboard fills up, prizes will be paid to the winners and a new tournament will open immediately.
Social Media Integration: Players will now have the ability to connect their online accounts to their Facebook and Twitter accounts so they can share achievements with friends on social media. Players will be able to check in from Big Buck HD games, display awards on their Facebook news feed and more. There will also be an option to connect with Big Buck Hunter on Facebook and Twitter so players can keep up with the latest Big Buck news.
Guns: Big Buck HD features a brand-new gun system that offers players more comfort in holding the gun and better accuracy required for the high-definition screen.
